The goal of the Cedar City Public Library is to provide prompt and friendly service to all patrons while realizing the commitment to collect and dispense information.

Programs & Activities

Character Sketches artwork example

Character Sketches

A drawing program for all skill levels, developed for the out-of-school demographic. Participants of high school age and over are welcome.

  • When: Wednesdays at 6:00 PM
  • Cost: FREE
  • Materials: Bring your own

Character Sketches is a practice session. No mentor or instructor is present.

Children's Story Times

Bring your little ones for fun, interactive story time sessions at the library. A wonderful way to foster a love of reading from an early age.

Get a Library Card

Library cards are free to all residents or property owners of Iron County.

What to Bring:

  • A picture ID
  • Something that verifies your local address or property ownership (mail received, utility bill, tax notice, etc.)

For Minors (Under 18):

A legal adult must sign for the card. The legal adult is the contacting party and is responsible for all materials checked out on the minor's card, including loss or damage.

Permanent library cards are only issued at the library in person.
